Nice piece, I'd class this and most of your other art works as "a good start". Basically what you need to do know (in my opinion) is get your hands on some drawing software. It doesn't have to be one that requires money like Photoshop, you could get GIMP which is just as good but free. Then what you need to do is make the lines darker and add colour or if you prefer to keep it in black and white more shade, finally a background, even though not a lot can be seen of the background in this piece it's always nice have something there.

MaartenC responds:

I've had recommendations of GIMP before, I'll seriously consider it now. Everything till now has been done with hand, which is indeed a tad... outdated, but I do like it.

I'll see what I can do, thanks for the advice.

It's ok although it looks a little too shiny and plastic for my liking. Other then that though it's a great piece of 3D art and Mudbox is clearly something that you could use to create some great artworks.

juturnal responds:

I Agree with you completely! Overglossed!

Not bad, the text could have done with being a different colour or in a different place so that it stands out more and maybe a little more time spent on detail would have been good. Other then that though it's a decent piece.

ScottCanDraw responds:

Thanks for the comment, i'll take you're advice and try give my drawings a bit more attention to detail in future.

The best piece that you have created so far. Much better then your other pencil work. I love the colours on the Catfish. It could have been improved if you had spent some more time on the background and the tail end of the Catfish. All in all not bad though.

Thank you very much. :,)

Not bad, I'm not too sure about the filters that you have used for the rocks, it works for the trees but I think maybe a different filter or non at all are best for the rocks. also the colouring is a little of on the dinosaur and some more detail on the ground would be cool. Other then that you are getting motre consistent with your art quality.

pockets08 responds:

Oh decky, you just always know what to say :3 <3 lmao :D thanks man. :) Will make sure to keep things up.

Not bad, I'd say that you need to spend some more time drawing your backgrounds. For example the cupboards in front of the doctor looks completely wrong, it looks like it's wonky. And the bed that the prisoner is siting on looks to be quite frank rushed. I'm also not a fan of people using a picture in there artwork so draw the area through the door. The officer needs work too.

I'm not being harsh, you understand? Just critical. This is good but it could be improved. You are improving in general and your other pieces are coming along too. Keep it up.

pockets08 responds:

ty Decky :)

Now this is an awesome piece. I love the detail that you have put into the robotic bit of the character and the general amount of detail in the whole picture. The only thing that I would have improved on, and it is a very small thing, is small areas of the piece e.g. the guys hand in the cockpit looks a little rushed compared to the rest.

Kuoke responds:

Fixed slightly. Barely.

I like the way that you have coloured this piece and I also like that makes me what to know what is going on in it. Though if I was too pic at it I'd say that the beaten man's fingernails look too pointy and some of what I guess are bruises look too much like ink blobs. Other then that it's a great piece.

Civilized-Apocalypse responds:

thats cause fin has sharp nails

Good piece, although I would have liked to see more work done on the background.

iloveicelollies responds:

Alright, I've fixed that :)

The image is a little dark. I know you stated that it is just a quick drawing but maybe it should have been worked on more before you posted it here eg. colour.

iloveicelollies responds:

Yeah, good point. I might redo it in Blender some time soon
