Not bad at all, It could have done with some more blending around the eyes and the make up could have looked a bit more even but other then those things it is great and a big step up for you.

I really like the may that the background becomes the hair that frames the face. Also the shading around the neck and chin is done really well.

Good job keep it up.

Fearneh responds:

Thank you for the feed back sweetie x

Awesome piece dude, it's always good to see when a comical piece of art is done to this high standard. I'm particularly impressed with the shading which is perfect and to a great detail for a cartoony piece.

In short I love it, it's one of the best pieces I've seen this year. I have to ask though what does it say at the bottom left corner? Is it two names? I'm not very good with language.

Anyway, great job. Keep it up.

Catoblepas responds:

Roughly translated: 'Food & drinks'

Another great piece although if I were you I would have blended the shading on the head so that it didn't look like pencil lines, also I would have spent more time on the hand holding the sword as currently it looks a bit unfinished.

I think that the background although it is simple suits the piece brilliantly as it gives it that haunted, warped feeling that you get from the movie/games. This is probably your best work to date. Keep it up.

Well, it's not your best work by far but I guess seeing as you stated that it is basically a doodle then it should be ok. Good to see that you are still uploading stuff here.

If you wanted to improve it I'd suggest putting more detail on the face and scythe blade although keep the cloak as simple as possible so it keeps it simplistic style then you got your self a nice little graphic.

Mittensx33 responds:

I've done some improvements :3 any better?

Looks pretty awesome, now the big decision you have to make now is do you leave it like that or do you use it as a frame and build it up. It's up to you but I know that personally I couldn't be able to resist it after a while. Then I'd be stuck after that as to make it realistic coloured or abit more abstract.

Anyway, it looks brilliant. how big is it?

spoonfed responds:

Thank you for the review. It stands at about 2 feet tall and a width of roughly 3 feet. I like the idea of using the octopus as a frame for something more, but I think I'm done with it. I want to move on to my other projects.

A great piece, I like your use of the lime green as it gives a brilliant contrast to the other, much more dark aspects of the image. The style itself reminds me of something that would be used by Tim Burton as a piece of concept art.

My criticisms of this piece are manly that the face of the girl/guy to the left has a more japanese feel to the drawing style that doesn't really sit well with the rest of it. Other then that it's amazing

keep it up.

Another great piece, although if I compare this to the Mario one think it is slightly in it's shadow for a number of reasons.

Firstly I can't help but feel that this should have been part of a much bigger piece. Don't get me wrong I love Boo but he is a very simple character to draw at the best of times, so maybe drawing a few Boo's flying around a haunted mansion or something along those lines would have been called for.

To sum up, good but you have done better.

A truly great work. The way that you have created the flames coming from Mario's hand is nothing short of perfect.

There are one or two small faults that I can see though. For one, I don't think Mario's moustache is quite so big. Secondly it's a little too dark around the edges and finally I think that either more or less of the hand should be seen through the flames, it just doesn't look quite right. I pick at every piece so don't feel bad at this.

After all is said and done it's amazing, well done.

A nice piece, I like your use of lighter lines to make it look smooth and shiny, it also gives it the impression that it is moving which is great for this piece for obvious reasons. The nebulas in the corners also are top notch, I like how you can see the stars through them making it more realistic.

My criticisms for this would be that I can't help but feel that it should be part of a bigger piece. Don't get me wrong it's brilliant I just think that it could have been more.

Truly amazing, The way that the piece is Photoshoped so perfectly onto the wall I had to read the author comments before I realised it wasn't just a photograph.

I would have liked to see you either drawing the wall though or creating a stencil and doing it in real life instead of Photoshoping it. I just believe that you shouldn't do this method unless it's absolutely necessary. Don't get me wrong though it's a brilliant work and it's going into my favourites.
